Obama makes his case for a second term on '60 Minutes.'
Yes.
I think this interview hits the nail on the head on the issues we are currently dealing with in our country.
Obama makes it very clear that he is aware of what’s going on in our country and that he knows what the masses are going through aren’t easy. As he puts it, he is a captain on troubled seas and no matter how well he steers the ship, he “can’t control the weather.” I think the reason people are so disappointed with him is because they wanted an easy fix and Obama’s campaign in 2008 was centered on pushing change; what his voters got in its place was a shocking realization that it wasn’t going to happen right away.
But we have to remember: Obama made it clear in ‘08 that change wasn’t going to be easy. However, his constituency didn’t hear that. Instead, all they heard were the words of a prophet spreading well delivered monologues about the hope for something better.
As it stands, our country is in the toughest moment of economic decline since the Great Depression and things aren’t looking too bright in the road ahead for Barack. After all, it has become the norm for the party in power not to be re-elected if there’s economic decline during their term. But, in the grand scheme of things, do we really want a Bachmann? A Gingrich? A Romney?
After all, “change” was never planned to be given in a short four years.

He’s not as bad as anyone else running against him with any chance of winning. Case made.
Sad that politics has mostly become a matter of choosing the lesser evil.
